11:05 am
been used historically to deal with rafah to deal with the cities, that deal with that problem we are going to continue to make sure israel is secure in terms of the iron dome and able to respond to attacks. >> there is something different from white house national secured spokesman jon kirby to our own jacqui heinrich he said the israelis can go into rafah. >> in what way does the u.s. support israel's intention to go after hamas and how are they supposed to do that if you've got the battalions they need to go after in rough? >> we have never ever ever told them they cannot try to finish off the hamas battalions that are in rafah we've never told themand they cannot operate in rafah. what we have told them is the way they do it matters. >> president donald trump was impeach withholding weapons ukraine house republicans are returning the favor every congressman cory mills from florida has drafted an

impeachment resolution accusing president biden withholding the weapons to israel despite 1200 slaughtered on october 7 and hunter taken hostage 133 remain including americans of course as a political maneuver to win votes in november. >> it is really no different if you go back to what president biden had tweeted out previously. he said that withholding congressionally appropriated aid for a return of a political gain is in some way a quid pro quo quote wants to win at michigan he wants to pander to the radical left. >> critics say president biden has withheld those weapons to israel because of the rising campus protests across the country. at the civilian death toll in gaza. bill: israel now saying they will go alert if they have to do it when it comes to rafah lucas tomlinson live at the white house thank you. >> lucas and bill for more on this let's bring in michael is a former israeli ambassador to the u.s. also by the way a graduate of
11:07 am
columbia university the epicenter of the pro- palestinian campus protests. first, just briefly i do not have a lot of time. what you think of these protests and their disrupting graduations and causing some universities to cancel university ceremonies, what you think about this? >> is terribly sad for me is good to be with you. sad for me i had the best education pro- american education. an education that extolled western civilization for these protests are not just anti- israel there anti- american their anti- western civilization they burn the american flag they call for death to america. that was inconceivable in my day. it is very sad. an x he was a poll came out and sit 81% of american students want to see the protesters punished not only do they not identify with them they want to see them punished because this is a very small minority. which is gaining tremendous press and having a gravitational impact on american politics.
11:08 am
it is unjustified it's a very small group of people who do not just hate israel but hate america. >> let's move on to why you are here. thank you for being here do you agree or disagree with president biden withholding the latest round of weapons? >> of course i disagree it's a misguided decision and a very dangerous decision dangerous for israel sends a message to our that israel could be vulnerable the tragic irony of this is the one scenario the administration wants to avoid this getting dragged into a regional conflict could actually occur by withholding arms the message gets out, could hezbollah could attack us it's a much bigger force than hamas or iran considered another wave of missiles at us as they did several weeks ago. it's a very delicate difficult situation but i assure you israel will go ahead and fight
11:09 am
hamas until the end even if we don't get this position. >> to be clear the iron dome all of the antimissile protection will still be there for israel. so god for b forbid any other ak happens from ironic. but let me move on do you believe israel violated international law with the u.s. provided weapons? >> absently not even the state department is cut out and said israel did not violate international law with american weapons. we have administration speaking off into different languages to different messages. we just saw a quote from jon kirby he's been very much on message and supporting israel's right to defend itself but other voices are coming out of the administration thing israel has treated the palestinians or it killed entirely too many palestinians they keep on inciting the number of fatalities that are basically by fabricated by hamas. that number includes 15000 tears killed by israel.
11:10 am
includes the hundreds of palestinians by pal saint rockets a fall short gossip. it concludes people have died of natural causes since last october. it is very unclear to accuse israel fighting an enemy that using its po as population as an shield. hamas' to see -- is also the utmost avoid the casualty. arthel: do you think any expansion into rafah's fair game at this point? should netanyahu and idf consider president biden's paws on arms supplies? and, close to a million citizens crowded into rafah. >> we understand that we certainly any measure we possibly can to move the civilian population await some e 30,000 are moved away from the current combat area. i must say we are kind of scratching her heads here the administration said they would permit a surgical strike israel
11:11 am
has not undertaken a incursion into rafah's been very, very limited. according with people are very confused here there's certainly a situation many israel's was ever getting punished for something we might as will do it because what could be worse? >> let me ask you though. you are talking about a surgical operation verse a first of all t would that look like? if one third of the citizens have been move you have a substantial amount of people left crammed into one area. how do you go into rafah without more human toll and casualty? quick sheet sheep move civiliay from combat area. not doing it all out incursion. it's not that big you move the civilians away from the combat area you move them to what you call humanitarian zone.
11:12 am
hold on civilian casualties of the time when hamas wants to maximize. keep in mind they turn turned dn offer from israel that was described by secretary of state blinken as generous june exchange for 33 hostages and a 40 date cease-fire hundreds of pulsing and jet from the jails from the state of israel. hamas turned it down. so we have no choice this is the only way to maintain military pressure to release at least some of the hostages destroyed an organization wants to literally come out of the tunnel's a clear victory take over gaza again and kill us. arthel: deeply for their military action will get the remaining hostages released? >> i believe the best chance for doing so in the absence of any willingness on the part of hamas to negotiate. that's really the only option. it would be very unfortunate if
11:13 am
the united states would provide the type of diplomatic cover by telling him the head of hamas that he designed it for about israel putting pressure on him because united states will restrain israel. i am quite perplexed here we have the white house saying it cares deeply about the hostages and i'm sure they do. but then telling us not to go ahead and uproot hamas and maintain that pressure used released our hostages. i honestly do not see any way around this. i'm not a spokesperson for the government but i assure you i reflect the vast majority of that say we have no choice but to go into rafah. arthel: to be clear, we do acknowledge hamas' role in this spirit really quickly if i could get it quickly because i got to go the un general assembly supports the palestinians bid for full membership. do you support this decision? >> we do not it's a violation of our agreement with the
11:14 am
palestinians going back to 1993. the would not seek to achieve statehood outside of direct negotiations. it is dangerous for the state of israel the palestinians can then turn around and use the statehood capacity to sue us international criminal courts to issue arrest warrants for our leaders military and political. it's going to be immensely disruptive if we hope to emerge from this war was an opportunity for moving forward to pisa measure such as this are immensely harmful. >> or do you have to leave at the former israeli ambassador to the u.s. michael, thank you very much for joining us. >> thank you for having me. arthel: absolute tune in tomorrow for an exclusive a live interview with prime minister benjamin netanyahu. that is set to happen during fox and friends weekend at 8:20 a.m. eastern. again 8:20 a.m. eastern tomorrow

salacious testimony by pouring actress stormie daniels this week as well as a chance to maybe say something about michael cohen's former personal attorney who is set to testify as a star witness on monday. frankly cohen has spent the last month basically taunting the former president and live stream videos on tiktok in which he has even worn a t-shirt with the former president pictured behind bars or prosecutors said they have repeatedly told cohen to stop this. yesterday the judge told prosecutors to let cohen know he has been ordered to stop from the bench. the court could not subject witnesses white company into a gag order. or to punish him wishes not sit well with former president trump because he has been fined 10,000 dollars for violating that gag order he had this to say after court yesterday.
11:32 am
>> with the judge did was amazing actually it was amazing. everybody can say whatever they want. they can say whatever they want but i am not allowed to say anything about anybody. it is a disgrace. >> cohen has been convicted of lying to congress. lying to banks and even this past week a federal judge suggested he had perjured himself in direct testimony under oath in a civil case against trump and new york over the fall we will see t about all plays out on monday. we'll see how close he gets you may be violating that gag order if at all tonight. in front of all these people it 5:00 p.m. in wildwood, new jersey but it's a big crowd there, we will look for your reporting later today live in wildwood thanks. >> the house judiciary committee at the border for hearing yesterday at arizona or the hot spots along the border.

11:38 am
bill: former president trump clients traditionally new jersey is in play but garden state democrats say there is no chance of that trump lost new jersey by 14 points back in 2016 and he lost it by 16 points in 2020. he won the district where he is holding today's rally bite by similarmargins in both elect. one new jersey political professor said this about today's rally quote i think that to the extent they can telegraph the m method they are competing everywhere. maybe they feel that broadening the map is an effective strategy it may not be that they think they can win new jersey, but they're going to force democrats to pay some attention to new jersey. i don't think it's a completely futile investment of their time. joining us now the sign of the rally home district in new jersey congressman jeff van drew
11:39 am
to donald trump. how is he going to do it? >> joe biden is doing it. people are tired of him. they are tired of his policies where they are tired of a weak foreign policy. real quickly look over were four years ago and where we are now. four years ago peace in the mid east and the abraham accords. now we've got war ukraine at war. afghanistan a disaster. look at the prices domestically. everything food, eggs, bread, the most basic staples are up you have to earn twice the income that you did four years ago to be able to buy a house. open borders, every single state in this nation is a border state because of this president. kids are getting kicked out of their schools to house illegal immigrants. we don't know who these immigrants are, what they are about where they're going where whatthey're doing is issue after issue. they are shoving windmills wind turbines down our throats along the coastal communities that is
11:40 am
turning democrats and independents into republicans this year. we've got a shot at this we are going to work hard. this is not about saving the republican party this is about saving the very republic itself. feel the energy tens of thousands of people that know we have to do better this is the greatest nation on the face of the earth and we can do better. but she got to imagine the former presidents are ready to get back to this environments been stuck in new york all week and his criminal trial he's got a gag order he is may get incredibly frustrated the witnesses against him are able to say whatever they want now is going to be in new jersey today but thousands of supporters behind and probably going for the electric rallies he is well known for. what you expect to hear from him today? >> we are going to relive the magic it's going to be an electric rally. he is going to speak about how they have tried to stop him from running everywhere they can. back at years ago they tried to impeach him then they tried to take them off the ballot.
11:41 am
now they are creating these phony cases against him. just let the man a run. let the people of america decide who they want to be the next president he's going to speak about that breeze going to speak about our domestic economy the fact we are short on energy and we should have a surplus of energy. the fact that we need to once again become the nation that lights the world that is the shining city on the hill. that is the greatness of america he is going to speak about that with a lot of power and a lot of energy you are right when he sees the kind of support he has he has been stuck in this cold dark courtroom, when he comes outuphere and sees what real pe, real americans are really thinking he's going to feel real good. bill: talk about some of the new jersey specific issues that voters out there care about both most you mention offshore wind projects part of president biden's green energy agenda. what are some of the specific
11:42 am
things new jersey voters will be focusing on later this november? >> wind turbines are a terrible project they will hurt new jersey. they will hurt america they hurt our fishermen hurt the whales come hurt the environment, hurt national security hurt tourism. hurt the environment and your utility bills are going to go way up. not just a little up a weight up even that wind turbine companies will admit that we will be relying on foreign companies for energy, terrible. we are all border states now. we were scared in new jersey because they were going to ship up to 60000 illegals to the atlantic city airport and destroy that airport. thank goodness we all rallied together we were able to stop that. that was really scary we are tired of it we are tired of people paying taxes over and over again and not helping american student people are tired of two? they're worried about their
11:43 am
social security. they're worried about their medicare and the wastefulness of this administration the way they spend money, they put those very, very important projects in danger. we have to save medicare we have to save social security we absolutely cannot cut it. that is a republican stand for those are just a few of the issues. they are across-the-board corruption, corruption in our department of justice. corruption in the top levels of the fbi. corruption with hunter biden these special deals they tried to give to him. it is so wrong, so bad people cannot afford to live here and then just tell them to work harder, work more pool tax you more. americans are tired of and i am telling you what, you jerseyans are tired of it >> pickwick/questionnaire real quick answer, 16 points is a pretty steep hill to climb from 2020. democrats say trump is no chance in that state. when you say to this democrats?
11:44 am
>> i will say two things but when i became a republican five years ago iran against a meat ay candy, ted kennedy's daughter-in-law the main stream media and the pundit said she's gotten a chance 15 times as much money. she's going to beat him, it is over but we won it was not even that mthe margin of error we won solidly. things are changing, times are changing look around here look at all of these people he is got a real chance the emerson pulled that just came out recently, that's not a partisan poll it's not an eternal pole it's a real public poll showed him in single digits now and we have not even begun. corcongressman jeff van drew thk you for your time today. we appreciate love love to our broadcast of box report to cover the rally particularly again kicks off at 5:00 p.m. eastern.
